Why you should raise chickens

No, this is not that list of self-centered reasons listed some time ago, this is about supporting Happy Hens. If you don`t feel like having your own Certified Happy Hens right now, buy organic eggs from free-range chickens who get some space! The extra two dollars are supporting a good cause after all! Choose the chickens and you`ll never need store-bought eggs again.

Food For Thought
You are what you eat, right? So what does that say about store-bought meat and eggs from unhappy chickens and cows?

Editor’s note: I don’t think this applies to chickens-I’ve never seen a chicken who resembles a worm!

Jane’s Musings:
The worms in our garden, doing their wormy things. Next moment, gulped down by a hen! Surely the contentment of the worm continues into the chicken’s gullet!

Amri points out that the contentment may be somewhat broken by being yanked out of the ground, and eaten whole.
